About the Item

Original vintage modernist pendant, model Onos 55 in solid brass by Florian Schulz, circa 1975. The outer surface of the shade is in polished brass, while the inside has a brushed texture. With a brass reflector. This is the side counterweight version of the Onos 55. Construction with a brass ceiling cap, a the top end of the cable, to cover the electric mains to the ceiling; a solid brass counterweight that make the pendant adjustable; and a u-shape brass hook (to screw to the ceiling) to position the shade in the room. This u-shape hook bears almost all the weight, this section must be securely attached to the ceiling. Dimensions: height of the shade with the reflector: 13.4 in. (34 cm), diameter: 21.7 inches (55 cm). Length of the total wire about 98 inches (250 cm). The fixture is equipped with the original, regular (E26-E27) Edison screw lamp socket. Max. 100 Watt. The electric parts are in a used but very good condition. Works in the US. Although back in production, this pendant is an original piece from the 1970s. They were made by hand and received the quality label 'Made in Germany' for a reason. This lamp is in really good condition with a nice patina, especially for a brass lamp of 50 years old. A minor scratch on the edge of the shade and the heavy counterweight has two dark spots in the brass (see last photos). Photographed here on a wooden cross in the absence of ceiling, it's not a beautiful picture but just to make clear the construction. We deliver the lamp with a few different new screws for all possible mounting on the ceiling (see photos).
