Vintage Cocoon Pendant lamp in the style of Castiglioni Brothers/ Flos, 1960s
About the Item
This pendant lamp is reminescent of the Viscontea lamp, designed by Castiglioni Brothers in the early 1960s and produced by Flos.
This chandelier, from the same era, however has a smaller size and slightly different proportions. It's difficult to say whether it's a prototype or a copy.
It remains in pretty good overall condition: the yellowing of the cocoon is normal, consistent with the age of the lamp.
However, some defects are visible: the internal metal structure is quite rusty and this oxidation is also visible outside the cocoon at some points.
The electric cable is quite short but can be replaced with a longer one
