Rare and highly decorative Venetian light fixture with diamond pattern in the glass.
This striking glass art pendant from midcentury Italy is another one of our recent great finds. Handcrafted and mouthblown in one of the Venetian glass art studios in the 1950s this rare transparent glass pendant with a rare diamond pattern has aged beautifully. The handcrafted metal frame has corroded / patinated somewhat and the blown glass that comes bulging through the frame is in superb condition. It is very difficult to 'catch' in a photo, but this truly transparent glass comes with a rare diamond pattern from the bottom to the top and growing ever larger. We have no idea how they managed to create this pattern into the glass whilst at the same time blowing the glass perfectly symmetrical in and through the metal frame, but the result is a joy to look at. Thanks to its timeless design and 'color' this rare chandelier is the perfect lighting solution for several kinds of interiors. To us, this is the perfect fixture for an entry hall or landing, but also in modern architecture it could do great in other types of rooms and spaces as well. With the light switched on, the striking patterns that this pendant throws on your wall and ceiling create an atmosphere that is second to none. This natural beauty pendant from the midcentury era is absolutely free of cracks and chips and she is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well. Thanks to the metal hook inside the height adjustable brass canopy, safely mounting this pendant tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) will take no more than a few minutes.
