About the Item

White crystal glass pendant light by unknown Scandinavian producer, 1960 - gorgeous Scandinavian Modern ceiling light with brass lacquered metal top in excellent vintage condition. A beautiful pendant light made up of two crystal glass shades, secured and held in place by a brass lacquered metal top. The outer crystal shade is champagne colored, and decorated with a matte white striped pattern on the upper and lower half of the shade. In between, it features a pinched waistline, emphasized by a embossed linear pattern. Inside the outer shade, sit a cylindrical clear inner shade, with faceted ornamentation. When lit, the matte white pattern on the outer shade becomes golden and diffuses the light, while the inner shade ensures optimal scattering of the light. The open bottom leaves a direct flow of light downwards. It oozes that special mid-century smokey feel, created by 1960s Scandinavian crystal lighting - and it would look amazing in a modern living room or dining room, or creating coziness in the kitchen. It would also be charming piece in the bedroom or welcoming guests in the hall way. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of usage and age, no chips - both glass shades intact, few signs of usage and age on the brass top. Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 2 m (6' 6.7") high end quality, black fabric cord - for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag.
