About the Item

Yellow Plexiglas pendant pair by Claus Bolby in 1970s and produced by CEBO Industry - beautiful sunny yellow Plexiglas and brass hanging light, both in very good vintage condition. A pair of octagon shaped metal pendants, each comprised of four concave polished brass sides, and four Plexiglas sides, made up of multiple pieces of yellow rectangular shaped Plexiglas, arranged on top of each other. Closed toward the top by a brass lacquered top, which ensure that the light is emitted sideways through the Plexiglas and downwards through the open bottom. When lit, the yellow Plexiglas reveals four deep blue stripes in the centre of the Plexiglas sides, while the yellow color turns almost golden, creating a soft illumination around it. This makes them perfect for hanging beside each other over a dining table or kitchen table to emphasize a cozy feel and a strong expression. Claus Bolby and CEBO Industry used a specially developed technique with the Plexiglas to create their unique finish and all products were handmade, so slight differences would occur - like on these pieces, where you can see a slight difference in the number of tiny air bubbles in the Plexiglas. This pair of sunny yellow Plexiglas pendants are in very good vintage condition with few normal signs of usage and age (marks on the brass lacquered top), all Plexiglas part are perfect. The brass sides have been polished. Please see the photos. All original, but rewired with 2 m (6' 6.7") high end quality, black fabric cord - for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, polished, labelled and packed in protective bag. Light source: Two bulbs, Edison screw-fitting (E27/E26) max 75 watt each.
