Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this very rare, highly collectable, Royal Worcester Porcelain and thick solid English brass floor standing lamp which is signed to the base with the stamp for 1890 Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price I have been looking for one of these lamps for years, I saw one in Bonhams in 2003 that sold for around £5,000 from memory and it didn't have the original shade as this one does, I fell in love with it then but sadly didn't have the funds to commit to it, when this one came up for sale I just had to buy it This lamp is super decorative, it comes with as mentioned the original shade which has the large solid brass Pineapple finial, none of these shades have survived as they were so large and made of silk usually they simply perish, this one is aged and worn but at least it still exists! The lamp is telescopic and can extend upwards another meter or so, I can't possibly imagine why you would want a 3 meter+ floor lamp but there you are, most likely it was originally an oil lamp and you could use it like a ceiling light Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, it has been fully rewired with a new floor inline switch, there will be some light chips and cracks here and there, the only cracks I can see are when you look in the base and one external chip but there may be more, it really doesn't matter at all, what matters is, it still exists as mentioned Dimensions Height:- 213cm adjustable up to another meter or so Width:- 70cm Depth:- 47cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
