Brass and Cane Wrapped Floor Lamp After Paavo Tynell, circa 1950s
About the Item
A floor lamp, made by an unknown designer. Brass rod construction with the bottom portion expertly wrapped in cane.
Adjustable height and shade. All brass. The switch allows you to sim the lamp to desired brightness.
Beautiful patina through out the piece. It is solid brass so could easily be brought to new looking but the patina looks amazing.
There is one crack in the brass on the bottom.
Cane is mostly perfect with some very light fraying.
The lamp adjusts between 44” height and 58” height.
Other designers of the period include Hans-Ange Jakobson, Paavo Tynell, Josef Frank, and Alvar Aalto.
