Early 20th Century French Carved Barley Twist Floor Lamp with Attached Table
About the Item
This unique, antique floor lamp was crafted in Northern France, circa 1930. Standing on three bun feet over a circular base embellished with foliage decor, this walnut lamp features a thick base decorated with acanthus leaf motifs. The lamp is dressed with a round ledge surface in the center decorated with intricate carved motifs, and a barley twist stem to the top. The sturdy, wooden light fixture has new wiring with a singular light and is dressed with a decorative wax candle over a metal bobeche. The tall free standing Louis XIII style floor lamp is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina. Place this elegant and practical fixture next to your favorite armchair, and use the attached table to rest your coffee or tea cup! Shade not included.
