Exceptional large ceramic bubble floor lamp, Germany, 1960s. A sculptural high-end piece made of handmade ceramic in rich glazed dark red orange, brick and blue tones. With a new custom made silk lamp shade by René Houben and a warm bronze or gold inner- shade.
The lamp is in perfect vintage condition. The lamp is offered with shade!
Approximate dimensions: Ceramic only height 43.5" (110.5cm) x Ø 11.4" (29cm) at base height to top of lamp-holder circa 65.7" (165cm).
René Houben is a renowned Dutch light designer. René has been designing unique lamp shades for more than 25 years. From colorful and exuberant to modest. For every extraordinary lamp base (carefully selected antique and vintage items), he designs an applicable shade. His custom made creations are unique because of his interesting use of form and color. They also stand out because of their indirect, soothing and intimate light. Houben is well known and loved by interior designers and decorators all-over Europe.
