Floor Lamp Attributed to Mario Botta, Italy, 1980

About the Item

A large eye-catching floor lamp in the style of Mario Botta, manufactured in Italy, circa 1980. This wonderful piece resembles the shape of a sail, with a black lacquered bent metal base and a big white perforated metal shade. The base pierces to the bottom and top part of the shape, a beautiful detail to the piece. This use of shape, materials and colour together with the unique design strongly reminds of the work of Mario Botta. In good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
