Beautiful industrial design of a unique standing lamp "Argo" model, designed in 1984 for Vereinigte Werkstätten with a marble base and a streamlined aluminum shade rotating around and from top to bottom in every desirable position to enjoy the dynamic look of the design. After studying architecture, Kurt Ziehmer founded his own design studio in Düsseldorf in 1968 and developed light objects with and for Gunther Lambert. In 1978 he received the North Rhine-Westphalian promotional award for young artists. From 1977-1981 he was a lecturer at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences.
