The Ito floor lamp embodies the transience of life’s passing moments that we often wish to hold on to. It is an ode to the beauty of the ephemeral experiences that keep the momentum of life flowing. Ito comprises individual strands of soft cotton threads suspended freely from a brass frame, cast from hand-sculpted patterns exploring the essence of the human touch and the natural beauty of impermanence through contrasting materials. The form appearing as a solid cuboid volume from afar, reveals an airy, light character as the wind blows, mesmerising the viewer with its warm glow.
We work closely with skilled artisans, exploring different techniques of sand-casting. Each product is hand-crafted with great attention to detail and captures the essence of the material, telling a unique story while celebrating the inherent imperfections of the process.
