Karim Rashid Prototype Light Sculpture

One-of-a-kind art piece of molded plastic and tubular steel by uber-designer Karim Rashid, done for an installation at NYC's Sandra Gering Gallery in 2000. The organic, molded plastic form prefigured Rashid's Squeeze Pendant of 2002. When lit with a 10 watt bulb, the painted interior evokes a James Turrell installation.
