Large Blue Ceramic Floor Lamp Noomi Backhausen for Søholm, 1960s, Danish Modern
About the Item
Stunning hand painted floor lamp from the 1960s by Danish artist Noomi Backhausen at Søholm ceramics workshop, Bornholm. The abstract pattern in shades of blue and green on this lamp is simply amazing and are only found on this unique example. Each of these rare conical Søholm lamps were made by hand and are unique in their decorations. The painted base holds a brass stem with an elegant handmade flax linen shade at the top. The shade was made especially for this lamp and is a perfect match. Signed N.B. by the artist at the base. Great condition.
NOTICE: most of these unique lamps were hand decorated by Rigmor Nielsen, but occasionally some were made by other Søholm artists. This is the case with this example.
