Large Iconic Cedric Hartman Floor Lamp for Jack Lenor Larsen Serial No. 8 1960s
About the Item
Sculptural "Backslider" floor lamp designed by Cedric Hartman in the 1960s for Jack Lenor Larsen, Pandora, Kirchberg, Switzerland. This great modernist icon has a minimalist curved telescoping chromed steel stem, a tent form shade with original bulb and a rectangular solid brass base as counterbalance which enables to adjust position and height. Marked at the bottom of base " Cedric Hartman, Made in Switzerland for Jack Lenor Larsen Inc., Serial No. 8 , 220 V , 40 W. Measure: Maximum height is 124 cm / 48.82 inches. Fine working condition, characteristic minor wear consistent with age and use, minor bump or scratch at the front of the tent shade and minor loss of plastic, see detailed pictures, otherwise in very good original condition.
