Mid Century Floor Lamp from Rupert Nikoll, Austria

About the Item

This is a floor lamp from Rupert Nikoll, made in Austria. The V shaped foot is made from iron, giving it weight and stability. The metal still has been chrome plated and then brass plated on top of the chrome. A lovely patina exists from use where the brass plate has been worn through from polishing. The lamp shade is a work of art. Using the original frame, vintage textiles, been formed in plates while the inner shade has been stretched to form a soft cone. Please use LED bulbs to avoid discolouration from heat.

Replacements made: A new shade was made using the original frame. The fabric is vintage. Wear consistent with age and use. The lamp shade is amazing, the interior shade textile is stretched , forming a soft cone.
