A MID-CENTURY-MODERN MODERNIST Tripod FLOOR LAMP, MATEGOT Style, France 1950
About the Item
An exceptional floral inspired tripod floor lamp with 3 light arms in different colour each. This Moderniste, Forme-Libre, Shabby-Chic piece has a tripod base structured by a perforated yellow tray, 3 rotating light arms in golden brass are nested in metalic black lacquered rods (façon pîque-fleur), 3 different shape abat-jours in lacquered metal are also different colour each : red, blue-grey and yellow. To be attributed, France 1950-1960.
This piece is very solid and reminds lightings by French edition company Lunel, the floor lamp pique-fleur by Robert Mathieu, and the floor lamp Triennale by Angelo Lelli for Arredoluce.
