Olaf von Bohr, Edition Valenti 1968. . A "Medusa" model table lamp with a spiral body composed of crushed white lacquered metal blades of decreasing shape with reception on a circular base in black lacquered metal. . A few very light chips of enamel. . Big model. . Olaf von Bohr is an Austrian designer born in Salzburg in 1927. . After learning about the process of woodworking and furniture making at the school in Munich, he moved to Milan in 1953 and worked in the office of Gio Ponti. . Olaf von Bohr then established his own office in 1960, and worked in particular in collaboration with Sergio Asti, Franco Albini and BBPR. His peg presented at Kartell in 1975 was chosen as the permanent collection of the MoMA. . And his Isis chair presented at Kartell was voted chair of the year at the international furniture competition in 1997. . Olaf von Bohr actively designs works in many fields. . The Medusa Lamp he created in 1968 for Valenti Luce in Italy is an icon of modern design. . With its sinuous and sculptural shape, it is a fine example of spatial design from the 1960s in Europe. . This incredible Italian lamp will be a real centerpiece in any type of interior. It can be used as a floor lamp or table lamp. . Design period, circa: 1968 . DIM: L : 46cm, D : 46cm, H : 70cm.
