Pair Brass Tortoise Chapman Floor Lamps in the Style of Tommoso Barbi
About the Item
A rare and wonderful pair of Brass and Chrome Floor lamps. The star of the show is the polished brass tortoise / Turtle Shell Shade.
The pair are definitely in the style of Tommaso Barbi, or Tony Duquette - the clean Architectural lines are indicative of both, with a unique chrome stand that, at the floor, curls to create the lamps base. Both have a floor switch that is easily used by the foot. The light cast from the back is a rich and ambient glow that accentuates the Tortoise Shell and its beautiful design.
A compliment to many spaces - Definitely a conversation piece and focal point. Would be a statement to use flanking a door or entry way. Also perfect for many rooms and especially those with an African, Ralph Lauren theme or a stark and bold architectural statement in a clean modern home.

- Condition:Replacements made: New socket on one lamp. Wear consistent with age and use. The lamps have been polished and, does have some minor corrosion to the base, but does not affect, in any way, the engineering or ability to stand - all completely solid.
