This coffee table is absolutely gorgeous. Consisting of two circular bases, clad in brass with a free form / biomorphic black tinted glass top, this coffee table is jaw droppingly gorgeous. The free form glass top floats like a cloud on top of the two rounded bases, and the bases can be situated in a number of ways beneath the black tinted glass. This coffee table brings that 1970's glamour like none other. Very evocative of Karl Springer's free-form coffee tables, this large coffee table would look incredible in any Mid-Century Modern, modern, or glam environment. This gorgeous walnut 2 piece chest on chest was designed by Helen & Hobey Baker in the 1950's. This piece has all the fun aspects of a true bold mid century modern piece -- clean, angular swooping lines that give the piece an almost googie look that is unmistakably mid century modern. The legs Stand-off on the sides of this piece and also feature hits of brass detailing that are an echo of the large circular brass disk pull on the top. The brass pieces feature asymmetrical detailing that is almost chinoiserie feeling. This chest effortlessly flexes into any Mid-Century Modern, modern, Danish modern or contemporary environment. These tables are both stunning and intriguing. Cast bronze, marble and glass, these cocktail or side tables designed by Maitland Smith are evocative of Giacometti style workings. Three birds in bronze gathered around a birdbath or feeding dish bring that whimsy of Diego Giacometti, but with the refinement of classically elevated Maitland Smith design. These tables, while designed in the 1980's are so refined, they can easily be integrated into any mid century modern, brutalist, Danish modern, or contemporary environment. An amazing 1986 polished chrome, acrylic and glass torchère by Frederick Ramond. The torchère has a polished chrome finish. The green and red disks on the shade are made of glass.
