About the Item

Very rare french Art Déco floor lamp by Francis Paul édité par René Pottier in original condition. Circa 1930s. Chrome-plated brass and cream white lacquered. The floor lamp is in the original condition of the 1930s. with age-appropiate traces of use in the paintwork and chrome. Heavy outstanding quality. The original glass panes are in good condition. No missing parts. The lamp has been newly electrified. No further restoration work has been carried out , only the chrome has been polished as the floorlamp is in museum condition, similar to Bauhaus objects from Germany to ensure the authenticity of the lamp. This object is an outstanding example of the filigrane and elegant lighting designs of French Art Déco. The lamp is documented and illustrated in the standart work Guillaume Janneau: Le luminaire, Paris 1992, page 431 The lamp does not need to be disassembled for transportation.
