Rare and elegant Mid-Century Modern floor lamp or reading light with adjustable diffuser. Designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for AB Markaryd, Sweden, 1960s.
Executed in brass, white enameled aluminium and metal, the lamp needs 1 x E27 Edison screw fit bulb, is wired, and in working condition. It runs both on 110 / 230 volt. Foot interrupter on the cord.
Condition:
Good original vintage condition. Wear consistent with use and age.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
