Riflessione floor lamp designed by Claudio Salocchi for Skipper 1973

About the Item

Reflessione floor lamp designed by Claudio in 1973. manufactured by Skipper, Italy in the 1970ies. This collectible lamp is no longer in production. The Riflessione floor lamp by Claudio Salocchi has a triangular marble base, a chromed tubular steel stem, that rotates horizontally in a 90° angle and further a laquered aluminum shade, that works as a reflector disc. It’s stunning architectural appearance combined with intelligent design technology makes it a exceptional lighting object. The indirect light can be adjusted by the pivoting reflector disc, the stem can be swiveled 180°. This lamp model is the first to have the dimmer integrated into the marble base. The lamp is in good to very good original condition. The small shade shows a little bit loss of impresdion on the Aluminium part. It is 230 cm in height and has a pivoting shade with 56 cm diameter. The convex / concave shade will allow to spread it focus light depending on its position. The lamp therefore creates a wonderful diffuse light that’s intensity can further be leveled by the built in dimmer that us installed in the Carrara Marble base. It is equipped with a halogen socket, European Wiring. Due to size and variability this lamp is perfectly suitable to be used instead of a pendant lamp with large dining group or also in a large sofa or seating area. The Lamp will require disassembly for shipping. It consists of four parts. Re-assembly does not require electric installation, only the parts need to be reassembled and the dimmer inserted in the base again. Then plug-in the pole. The lamp currently has its original wiring that should be replaced. Please get in touch ahead of a purchase, if you’d prefer the wiring renewed before.
