About the Item
Scandinavian floor lamp from the 1960s of unusual form with sculptural tapered teak which has been turned in such a way as to taper from the base at a Fine point then flare out to form a bulbous belly, like a snake digesting its prey, finally tapering to a point again as the long brass stem shoots up.
The base is also an unusual form made of black enameled cast iron...it is essentially round yet has three points.
The inventiveness of the form recalls the lighting designs of Philip Lloyd Powell.
Rewired. Takes two full size standard Edison screw cap bulbs up to 100 watts each.
