Unique sculptural lighting structure by Ia Kutateladze Dimensions: W 80 x H 110 cm Materials: Raw black clay Symbiosis is a concept of different elements coming together to create a whole. Playing with the idea of gravity, proportion, and endurance. The relationship between shapes and space between them, creating visual tension. Using black clay as a material to push the boundaries of it’s possibilities, creating a complex structure which will undergo the shift of being fragile to sturdy, while still maintaining the delicacy. Five elements combined together, create a sculptural lighting structure. If taken apart, the objects have their individual function, which include, set of three floor or table lamps, a coffee table with glass, a stool or a side table. Ia Kutateladze is a Georgian multidisciplinary designer based in Berlin. The production is done by her in the studio, where different mediums of design and craft are merged together with experimentation, playfulness, love for various materials and fascination for instinctive and intuitive creative processes.
