About the Item

Lamps from the Space Age era all express the futuristic aestethics of the period, often pursued through the use of shiny chromed metal and sinuous but also elaborate mechanichal shapes. There is a strongly industrial look underlying most of those lamps that makes them very attractive and still contemporary to these days. The present lamp is the perfect summa of these elements, and also a wonderful expression of italian craftsmanship of those years. Skillfully crafted in chromed metal, with elaborate shades offering an interesting and unusual take on the simple theme of the lamp holder, this lamp is original in the design and very well executed. It i preserved in wonderful conditions, with the chrome coating still shining and in full working order. It has been overhauled by a professional electrician who inspected the plug, switch and wiring. It needs three E27 light bulbs; it can accomodate big spherical bulbs but also looks swift with smaller, regular ones.
