About the Item
Palm tree floor lamp by Mario Lopez Torres, 1970
Impressive floor light designed by mexican artist Mario Lopez Torres well known for his sculptural wicker creations in the 1970ties which were sold by selected galleries in Europe and the US.
The lamp is completely made out of wicker except for the metal pieces which hold the coconuts in which the light sources are housed.
Mexican artist Mario Lopez Torres who was well known for his sculptural wicker creations in the mid 1970s and sold by selected galleries in Europe and the US. The lamp is entirely realised by hand in wicker and rattan, emitting a fantastic ambient light as well as being a sculptural statement piece of vintage mid century design.
The leaves can be taken out of the stem to ensure for easier shipping.
Lamp has been checked and is fully functional.
