Murano 18" 'Pop Art' Floor and Table Lamp Glass & Metal by Doria, Germany 1960s
About the Item
On offer is an extremely rare, breathtaking XL Pop Art floor or table lamp, consisting of a weighted hemisphere made of lacquered metal in yellow-orange and a hemisphere made of white hand-blown Murano glass, which was manufactured in Germany in the 1960s. The lamp base is freely movable but has a firm and secure stand. A gem from this period. A real eye-catcher even when unlit.
Studio Doria (1948-1986), one of the most renowned lighting companies in Germany with its head designer Prof. Dr. Dr. Wilhelm Braun-Feldweg, award winning industrial designer, received over 30 awards for its designs between the 1960s and its closure in 1986, including the prestigious IF Design Award several times.

Manufacturer: Studio Doria, labeled.
Material: Murano glass, lacquered metal.
Colors: yellow-orange and white.
Measurements: height appr. 17.7" in. (appr. 45 cm), diameter appr. 17.7" in. (appr. 45 cm).
Lighting: takes one large Edison E26/E27 base screw bulb.
Wattage: we recommend 100w up to 150w. Works on 220v as well as 110v.
Condition: very good vintage condition. No imperfections to the glass. Several dents in the lower yellow-orange metal hemisphere.
Wiring: the lamp has been tested with US American light bulbs under 120v and works flawlessly, no tools or rewiring required. All our goods are originally wired for 220v. Delivery without bulbs.
Shipping: in order to ensure safe transport, the lamp will be carefully packed. We recommend expedited shipping, only.
