About the Item
Very rare Lessa lamp designed by Alberto Scarzella Mazocchi, Luciano Bertolini and Mariolina Ubertazzo for VeArt in 1972. Made of a mold-blown transparent glass shade that supports the light source at its top. It shines light down to the bottom, which works as a concave mirror, it reflects the light back to the other surface. The Lessa model was originally made as a hanging and ceiling lamp, both were made in black, red and chrome. We think the Lessa works best as a table or floor lamp. We can add a cable, switch and plug for everyday use. Among other lamps by VeArt, this model was presented at an exposition in the Domus Center in Milan in October 1972. The overall condition of the lamp is excellent, with minor fading on the chrome.
