Mid-Century Modern Flush Mount Chandelier in Frosted and Textured Glass by Doria
About the Item
This stunning Mid-Century Modern chandelier was realized by Doria Leuchten- one of Europe's most esteemed lighting studios of the period in Germany, circa 1960. It features a wealth of rectangular shades with hollow centres and rounded sides replete with a wealth of translucent abstracted forms inscribed into the glass. These forms are repeated on the circular glass panel on the bottom of the chandelier supported by a skyscraper style finial (composed of concentric circles) in polished chrome. With its clean lines and impeccable craftsmanship, this fixture is as stunning as it is versatile, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. The fixture accommodates six candelabra based bulbs providing up to 360 watts of light. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition.
