Brass Chandelier with Crosiers in Clear Murano Glass and Golden Leaf Italy 1970s
Entirely handmade of brass and blown Murano glass, this chandelier is a unique creation by the Italian artist and designer Giovanni Dalla Fina. The chandelier is constituted by a central brass bar, from which depart perpendicular arms supporting a total of 12 chalices painted in green gold, each containing two lights. What makes this chandelier extraordinary is the riot of crosiers rising skyward, creating many exquisitely elegant curls. Produced in clear glass and decorated with submerged gold leaf, they make this chandelier an outstanding work of art. The chandelier stem is composed of brass and glass elements, which are also richly decorated with submerged gold finishes. The chandelier recalls the Art Nouveau style, and is a perfect example of the best Venetian blown glass craftsmanship. Luxurious and sophisticated without being excessive, this chandelier is suitable for any space that needs a prominent lighting.
