Sculptural Italian Flush Mount Acrylic Lamp Sarfatti Arteluce Attribution 1950s

Pair of organic shaped Midcentury acrylic ceiling lamps most possibly designed by Gino Sarfatti and executed by Arteluce Italy, circa 1950s. The flush mounts are made of rounded and bent three sided white plastic or acrylic shades which are held by a black lacquered or enameled metal / aluminium construction. Each lamp has three brass fixtures for three E27 standard screw bulbs to illuminate. Wiring is perfect so the lamps are in fine working order and ready to use. The all-over original vintage condition is very good, some wear consistent with age and use, few superficial scratches nothing dramatically. The stunning and authentic lamps have each a width of 43 cm / 16.93 inches and a height of 9 cm / 3.54 inches, perfectly made for rooms with flat ceilings. There are added pictures showing a comparable model made by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce. Simple lines and elegant in design this valuable pair is a beauty and an eye-catcher. They would be a perfect addition and upgrade for any midcentury modern design interior.
