Italian Turn of the Century Louis XVI St. Gilt Metal and Tole Lantern
About the Item
A charming Italian turn of the century Louis XVI st. gilt metal and tole lantern. The lantern displays unique and most decorative faceted glass panes fitted within a beaded and foliate gilt metal band extending along the base and top. Beautiful wonderfully executed swaging tole flowers and leaves draped along each side hang from charming rosettes. Above are lovely scrolled supports hung with rings lead to luxuriant acanthus leaves and most decorative foliate top crown.
