About the Item

A vintage oil lamp by Swedish architect / industrial designer Hans - Agne Jakobsson. The lamp was initially designed in the 1960s and manufactured by Jakobsson’s own company Hans - Agne Jakobsson AB located in Markaryd, Sweden. The lamp is composed of a brushed brass body with a clear glass chimney and an amethyst glass shade. The lamp has the manufacturers sticker on the bottom denoting the model as L 47. The lamp stands approximately 15 1/2 inches tall, the base is 5 inches in diameter and the amethist shade stands approximately 7 3/4 inches tall and is 6 inches in diameter.

Condition:

Wear consistent with age and use. Good vintage condition, shade has very small chip on the very bottom, but hidden when shade rests on brass body of lamp. Other than the chip, no cracks, abrasions or breaks on shade. Glass chimney very good vintage condition. Brass light scratching.
