19th Century Louis XVI Style Baccarat Crystal and Ormolu Three-Light Sconces
About the Item
A pair of magnificent French 19th century Louis XVI style Baccarat crystal and ormolu three light sconces. Each sconce is centered by a striking acorn finial below richly chased acanthus leaves in a fine satin and burnished finish. Each of the elegant S scrolled arms are adorned with large acanthus leaves, a stunning array of cut Baccarat crystal pendants with foliate and reeded bobeches. Leading up three most decorative rectangular link chains is the impressive top crown with rinceau shaped ormolu sprays with cut Baccarat crystal pendants. Centered are three richly chased ormolu birds holding the chains in their beaks. All original gilt throughout.
