19th Century Pair of Bronze Wall Girandole Mirrors Sconces
About the Item
A fine pair of 19th century gilt bronze wall-mounted girandoles, each one fitted with its original bevelled edge oval mirror plate and featuring three lighting arms with ornate candleholders and drip pans. The finely chiselled and very decorative wall plates are richly ornamented with cherubic figures and romantic floral and foliage motifs, and are each topped by a stylised mascaron within an impressively arching pediment. Once used to reflect and amplify candlelight around a space, these gorgeous wall sconces could be converted for electrical use, or displayed as decorative and historical items in their original form.
