About the Item
This refined Art Deco sconce was realized by the esteemed by the Société d'Exploitation des Verreries de Bagneaux in Paris, circa 1930. It features a three sided open form obtuse angled frame in nickeled bronze that holds a beautifully molded geometric shade offering a wealth of finely articulated geometric motifs that include striated abstracted sunburst patterns, skyscraper detailing, triangular and a stylized arrow head form. This sconces offers the verve and élan that discerning collectors of first rate Art Deco pieces cherish. With its monochromatic palate and clean modernist lines, it would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition.
