Articulated Sconce Mid-Century Modern Stilnovo Style Solid Brass Black and White
About the Item
This exquisite sconce is a nod to the timeless pieces crafted by mid-century modern Italian studios Arteluce and Stilnovo in the 1950s, but with a unique and distinctive design that will add elegance and sophistication to any home.
Expertly made by a specialized workshop in mid-century modern design, every aspect of this lamp is meticulously crafted to match the hard-to-find lamps from the 1950s. Its versatile nature makes it perfect for placement on the side of a fireplace, giving light to a console or kitchen island, or illuminating a reading sofa.
Made to order, the shades are available in sage, ivory, and matte black, but custom-made options in different colors are also available. Additionally, the inside of the shades can be either ivory or gold. Red, yellow, and blue shades are available to complement the mid-century primary color palette. Please feel free to inquire about special size or color requirements, or if you would like a schematic.
The sconce's structure is made from natural solid brass with patina, while the shades are in lacquered aluminum. The smaller cone-shaped shade houses a candelabra (E12) bulb, while the larger lower dome-shaped shade accommodates either a regular or candelabra socket. The shade's adjustable pivot head allows the output from the large shade to be directed to the desired area, while the upper cone-shaped shade creates ambient light.
This sconce features three moving joints: the head joint allows the shade to turn 360 degrees in all directions and change the angle up to a maximum of 30 degrees inward or outward. The middle joint can be fixed with a key for occasional position changes, or with a screw to hold it in a fixed position. The joint on the backplate can be a ball joint that allows for changing the arm position in all directions, with a maximum angle of 30 degrees, or a dented joint similar to the middle one that adjusts vertically to all possible angles but cannot be adjusted laterally. This last possibility can come either with a key for changing position occasionally or a screw to keep it in a fixed position. Please refer to the last four pictures to see the difference between joints.
The two arms measure 16 and 12 inches (40 cm and 30 cm), respectively. There is also a shorter version available, with arms measuring 12 and 8 inches (30 cm and 20 cm). The lower shade has a diameter of 8 inches (15 cm) and a height of 11 inches (27.5 cm).
The backplate is made to cover a US standard Jbox.
It is important to note that this fixture should only be installed by someone who is familiar with how the product is constructed and operated.

Color of shades can be changed within existing color shades in stock. Length of arm can be adjusted to designer's request. Electrical part to fit your country socket. Ul certification under general coverage available upon request for extra charge and with the timing that this certification require. She died in November 1607.[7] Early life When his father died on 4 October 1581 Southampton inherited the earldom and landed income valued at £1097 6s per annum. His wardship and marriage were sold by the Queen to her kinsman, Charles, Lord Howard of Effingham, for £1000. According to Akrigg, Howard then "entered into some further agreement, of which no documentation can now be found, which transferred to Lord Burghley personally the custody and marriage of the young Earl, but left Howard holding his lands", and late in 1581 or early in 1582 Southampton, then eight years of age, came to live at Cecil House in the Strand.[8] In October 1585, at age twelve, Southampton entered St John's College, Cambridge,[9] graduating M.A. on 6 June 1589.[10] His name was entered at the Gray's Inn legal society before he left the university, and he was admitted on 29 February 1588.[11] On Southampton's 16th birthday, 6 October 1589, Lord Burghley noted Southampton's age in his diary, and by 1590 Burghley was negotiating with Southampton's grandfather, Anthony Browne, 1st Viscount Montague, and Southampton's mother, Mary, for a marriage between Southampton and Lord Burghley's eldest granddaughter, Elizabeth Vere, daughter of Burghley's daughter, Anne Cecil, and Edward de Vere...Category
