Bauhaus Wall Lights, Pair, Chrome and Glass, Germany 1930s
About the Item
Pair of cylindrical sconces with cased glass shades, and switch-on to the bottom, from the 1930s-40s, in Bauhaus / Art Deco style.
Simple and elegant pieces with metal wall plates and end caps, which house cased-glass shades with an outer layer of butter yellow, and white lining.
The lights are in good condition with warm aged patina to the light ivory painted bases. The chromed parts are in good condition. Nothing o be mentioned regarding the glass.
Original E14 bulb bases, with some chips and wear, but in working condition, with new wiring. On request, we can replace them for the US use with E12 candelabra bases.
The lights could be mounted vertically or even horizontally, if you choose. The glass can be removed to change a bulb by loosening the screw on the top cap.
