About the Item

Vintage pair of circus love heart lights circa 1960 For sale in this LOT is a pair of completely original and untouched 1960 vintage English circus display lights in the shape of 2 love hearts. These are highly collectible and very rare due to being hand made using sections of wood. The items were obtained from an old travelling showman who intended to have these items rewired for the show. The items were however never rewired and have been kept in their original condition for many years. The items are identical however due to being made bespoke and primitively made do show some differences as you may expect. The original lighting fixtures are made from matching ceramic light fittings and are attached view screws to the wooden heart shapes. The connections and original wiring is obviously very old so if you wish to have them working rewiring is needed. The colour is strong across the item using a thick glossy red paint, Im sure you will agreed these are very unique in their original condition and are not reproductions or replicas. Condition: The items are completely structurally secure and not loose in form. Loss of paint and chips are present across the surface of these items. The ceramic light fitting can be reused however the metal connectors inside them are rusty in places so would need attention if they are to be made working items once more. One item is working (NOT PAT TESTED) as pictured, however one is not tested and would need some electrical attention to make it work.
