About the Item

Crystal glass and rosewood pair of wall sconces from the 1960s by unknown Scandinavian producer - very stylish crystal wall lights with brass and rosewood - in excellent vintage condition. Each light is comprised of a thick crystal glass shade, a brass arm and a rosewood wall mounting. The richly faceted crystal shade encompasses the bulb and bulb socket, as it is secured to the socket by a ring. The cylinder shaped brass arm act as base for the shade and is fixed to rosewood wall mounting by a rectangular shaped brass extension. The rectangular shaped wall mounting features an on/off switch (fully functional). The round glass shades and brass arms is contrasted by the square shaped brass extensions and rosewood mountings, giving these lights an intriguing touch. The thick and faceted crystal scatters the light towards the sides and softens the light, while the open tops allow for direct light to emit upwards, visible as 'circles' of clearer light on the wall above each light. Perfect for framing a doorway, or mirror - lining a hall way, or for setting a cozy ambiance in a sitting area or in the bedroom as cozy bedside lights. A gorgeous pair of sconces with a clear Scandinavian Modern touch. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks, very few normal signs of age and usage on the brass parts. Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4' 11.1") white plastic cord and fitted with Euro style plug - which is easily changed to your specific plug. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag. Light source: Two bulbs, Edison screw-fittings (E14/E12 with adapter) Max. 40 Watt each.
