Flaminia Veronesi Hand Painted Wall Scone in Collaboration with NASSI

About the Item

Lampshade in italian Linen handpainted by Flaminia Veronesi from the exhibition 'Lucifer'. This lampshade DOES NOT INCLUDE A LIGHT SOCKET! Fits over regular wall light fixture. ‘Lucifer’ literally means ‘Bearer of light’ from the Latin lucifer (Lux/Light and Ferre/Carry) and in both pagan and astrological contexts it indicates the so-called ‘morning star’, the planet Venus. Flaminia Veronesi starts from the myth of the fallen angel to bring her magical world, populated by fantastic and mythological characters, to Oxilia Gallery. The result is a production of customized lamps from the Roma and Sonora collections by Nassi, a new brand founded by Francesca de Giorgi. Each lamp is unique and handmade in THE South of Italy, the lampshade is in pure linen, which has been painted by the artist. Flaminia Veronesi is a Milan based artist. Her solo exhibitions include "Lucifer" (2022), “Masculin Féminin” (2021), “Immediato Giocondo” (2019), “Tette Fotoniche” (2018) In 2023 Flaminia Veronesi’s installation of paintings and sculptures entitled "The Hermitcrab’s Wundershell" inhabit the sprawling MARNI flagship store in Milan, Italy. The Italian artist’s solo exhibition transforms the already jovial space, designed by Brinkworth and the Wilson Brothers, into a whimsical microcosm conceived as the wunderkammer of a family of hermit crabs. Also, Marni’s Spring Summer 2023 collection, currently in stores is featuring a collaboration between creative director Francesco Risso and Flaminia Veronesi. The work of Flaminia Veronesi appeared in T Magazine (NY Times), Vogue Italia, V Magazine, Flash Art among others.
