The Sconce explores the relationship between two interlocked forms in perfect union and balance . A study of form and function that evokes the grace and strength of the contrubutor where one form simply rests on the other, implying structural weight bearing quality. The electricity seemlessly flows within.
Paul Matter is a contemporary light design studio that explores light design by blending the traditional with the experimental, form with function, and detail with the ordinary. The longevity of the designs is ensured by combining timeless visual language with materials that refine with age. The studio works closely with master craftsmen, developing hand-crafted products, finished and assembled with great attention to detail, one piece at a time. Drawing from a rich palette, the materials used include aged brass, copper, stone, leather and blown glass.
