About the Item
Highly decorative pair of models V-180 sconces designed by Hans Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) and manufactured by his own company Hans Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd, weden 1959. These well executed wall lamps were designed in the golden age of Scandinavian design. Where brass lamps were highly popular, and many Danish designers used highly decorative polished brass for their designs. Interior decorator Hans Agne Jakobsson took this task seriously creating a very large range of lamps in brass, mostly with coloured glass shades. All the designs were made with a deep understanding of lighting effects, creating an extra dimension when lit These sconces are one of the nicest from that range of lamps if you ask me. With a pretty minimalistic approach, the speciality was in the materials and a combination of that. The grey glass shades creating an amazing reflection in the brass dish shaped diffuser shades. Creating a very nice and special atmosphere in any interior. The lamps use an E14 bulb up to 60 watts each and can also be used with LED. Priced and sold in a set of 2.
These lamps are checked in our own atelier, cleaned and are suitable for use in the USA as they are.
