Late 18th century, couple of Tuscany Directory style appliques

About the Item

Elegant pair of Tuscan appliques from the Direttorio period, transition between Louis XVI and the Empire. They consist of a large rose (16 cm in diameter) in carved pine wood gilded with pure gold leaf from which four arms in gilded wrought iron branch off. The four arms end with cups in carved gilded wood The electrical system is working, the bulb holders are made of wood
