About the Item
Introducing the Le Klint Sax 234 Vintage Scissor Lamp, a timeless piece hailing from the 1980s with a design originating in the 1950s by Erik Hansen, the then chief developer of Le Klint. This model showcases the distinctive craftsmanship that has made Le Klint a hallmark of lighting design.
In 1952, Erik Hansen crafted the first scissor wall lamps, which quickly became synonymous with Le Klint. Among the diverse family of Sax lamps, we present two variants: the downward-shining Type 233, ideal for reading, and the Type 234, which both emits light upward and reflects it downward, making it suitable as a table lamp. Crafted with teak scissor arms and wall mounts, both lamps allow for versatile adjustments. The non-original shade is replaceable.
With a maximum reach of 90 centimeters, extending at a right angle from the wall due to the non-rotatable scissor arm, these lamps are not only functional for focused tasks but also contribute to general room illumination. Le Klint, headquartered in Odense, Denmark, since its founding in 1943 by Tage Klint, son of architect Peder V. Jensen Klint, and brother of furniture designer Kaare Klint, has maintained a distinctive design language.
Le Klint stands out as a lighting manufacturer with a recognizable design signature, often collaborating with renowned designers, including those bearing the Klint name. This lamp embodies the fusion of functional elegance and collaborative design that has defined Le Klint’s enduring legacy.
