Pair Midcentury Kalmar Sconces Paavo Tynell Style Brass Linen Tube Shades 1950s
About the Item
Gorgeous Scandinavian / Austrian pair of wall lamps by Kalmar Austria attribution and very in the style of Paavo Tynell around 1950s. The multifunctional height and side adjustable sconces with string switch have a gilt brass base with movable arm for multiple light positions and a beautiful handmade original linen fabric tube lamp shade. The cool wall lights take each one E27 bulb to illuminate. Wiring and switch are perfect so the lights are fine working and ready to use. The lamp shade has a width of 12 cm / 4.72 inches and it is 19 cm / 7.48 inches tall including gilt brass ball screw handle. The lamp base is 15 x 4 cm / 5.91 x 1.57 inches tall and wide, the maximum radius from the wall including lamp shade is 30 cm / 11.81 inches deep. These beauties stay in very good to excellent original vintage condition, minor wear consistent with age and use. When lit they exude a warm light to create a cozy atmosphere. This is midcentury design at its best.
