Pair of Ceramic Wall Sconces by Natasha Dakhli

About the Item

Pair of free shaped ceramic wall sconces by the contemporary artist Natasha Dakhli. These wall sconces let the light go through thanks to two side slits and can be positioned on the wall in any direction thanks to several attach points. Signed at the back by the artist. NATASHA DAKHLI NATASHA DAKHLI is a contemporary French ceramic artist whose interest in ceramics was sparked by discovering the work of potters in village of La Borne, located in the Berry region of France. Passionate about visual arts, she began attending pottery classes in 2017 and obtained a professional degree in ceramic turning from Antibes in 2019. In 2020, she enrolled in the ceramicist program at the renowned Maison de la Céramique de Dieulefit, where she spent 14 months experimenting with modeling and shaping her artistic identity. Her artistic universe is deeply rooted in her natural environment. Growing up under the guidance of her grandfather, a winemaker, Natasha learned to observe and appreciate the passage of time though the changing seasons. The spirit of the southern France, characterized by the mistral wind, warm air, the evening light of the summer skies, dry cracked earth, and the warm stones often adorned with lichen and musk, serves as a constant source of inspiration for her ceramic creations, sculptures and furniture pieces.
