About the Item

These lovely Danish Modern teak and jute Scandinavian scissor or accordion wall lamps are super practical as they take no table space and are made in the style of Fog & Mørup. The wall mount lamps screw to the wall and simply plug into an outlet, and both have matching jute shades with a conical teak cap and a circular jute diffuser that sits on top. It's wonderful accordion design gives amazing flexibility as it can tuck against the wall if space is tight, or extend out from the wall. Ideal as bedside lamps or lamps for your favorite reading chair, as you can swivel them and extend them to pull them into position for the perfect lighting to read a book, and push them back out of the way when not needed. Not only do they accordion, but they also swivel 180 degrees and the shade can also pivot as well. Both lamps are in excellent condition, are wired with a two prong plug with an inline switch on the cord and both take a regular base bulb, up to 60 watts, or no limit for LED or fluorescent bulbs. Additionally, on both lamps, the socket is threaded and splits in half to support the shade rings securely. Note that the teak accordion arm on both is slightly different, although the shades and teak conical caps are identical. The dimensions below are for the lamps at their maximum extension. The lamp with the all wood mounting plate that screws to the wall measures 13.5" high and has a maximum extension from the wall of 30". The one with the brass section near the mounting plate that screws to the wall is 10.25"high and has a maximum extension from the wall of 30". Both shades measure 8.75" diameter and 5" in height. When compacted, they both span 15" from the wall if facing forward (rather that swiveled against the wall). Both lamps are in excellent condition and swivel, extend and retract easily. They are both wired for North American lighting standards with a 2 prong plug and an inline switch.
