Pair of French 19th Century Baroque Style Ormolu Mirrored Sconces
About the Item
An elegant pair of French 19th century Baroque st. ormolu mirrored sconces. Each sconce is centered by a single finely scrolled arm adorned with a large acanthus leaf leading to the reeded candle cup. At the bases are richly chased bearded satyrs with striking scrolled designs leading to outstanding winged cherubs at each side. Beautiful scrolled foliate designs extend throughout the back plates centering the original oval mirror plates. Above are central seashells with charming winged cherubs.
